Fiction — J J Noad
J J Noad writes mysteries in which memory, place and evidence do not always agree. The Echoes Mysteries move between different periods of Blackpool’s history, following people who discover that the past is less settled than they believed.
Fractured Echoes introduced journalist Alice Whittaker. Original Echoes follows Frederick Langley and takes the story back towards its origins.
Non-fiction — Dr Jeremy Noad
Dr Jeremy Noad writes for people working in sales, commercial roles and management. His books turn research and practical experience into methods readers can use at work.
The Signal Method focuses on judgement and deciding what deserves attention. The Sales Professional’s Handbook, written with Dr Beth Rogers, follows the sales journey from preparation and first contact through commitment and account management.
Experience behind the books
Jeremy has worked across sales, pricing, contract management, customer management and commercial development. His work has included global and multinational organisations, where decisions often have to be made across functions, countries and competing priorities.
He holds a doctorate and draws on both research and practice when writing about sales and judgement.
Place and the past
Jeremy lived in Lancashire for many years, and the county continues to shape his fiction. Blackpool, its coast and its history form the setting for the Echoes Mysteries, while other stories draw on places across Lancashire and the north of England.
Fractured Echoes was a finalist in the 2026 Page Turner Awards and the 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Best Debut Novel.
